Co-branded websites never contain advertisements, and they can be customized with libraries’ logos and branding. Integration – ebrary for Libraries integrates with libraries’ existing digital resources and catalog and administrative processes, specifically through full MARC records for all titles in the ebrary repository. Authoritative Content from 100+ World-Class Publishers With tens of thousands of titles under contract, ebrary’s collections are particularly strong in business & eco?????nomics, computers & technology, education, history & biography, classics, and selected social & behavioral sciences. Excluding classics, the majority of ebrary’s books were published in the past two years. The company’s publishing partners include The McGraw-Hill Companies, Random House, Penguin Classics, Taylor & Francis, Yale University Press, John Wiley & Sons, Greenwood and more. Customizable Research Tools – ebrary’s InfoTools™ technology makes it easy for patrons to find and use the information they need. With InfoTools, libraries can create custom links to knowledge resources of their choice including definitions, biographical information, maps and translations as well as other digital resources within the library. Patrons can instantly access these resources when words or phrases are selected. The ebrary solution also features online annotations, highlighting, bookmarks and more. Accounting and Reporting Tools – Libraries can use real time activity reports to gain information on usage and transactions in order to make more informed collection development decisions. PDF Technology – ebrary’s product is based on the portable document format (PDF), which is used by the majority of printing houses worldwide. This enables ebrary to efficiently acquire frontlist titles at the source and quickly grow its collections. PDF technology also ensures that documents maintain the look and feel of the originals. |
